It would be nice if there were *any* documentation or post showing the actual differences from Blueprint to BlueTrip. Otherwise this is just a vaguely described framework, which is useless when making a decision regarding feature sets.

Hi Intel352, I have used BlueTrip on a few of my projects and I like it along with 960gs. To ask for a feature comparison is very much not necessary, if you have to compare one framework to another to decide what to choose you will be changing frameworks very often. Try them both and see which is to your taste and maybe you will realize that both are good at different tasks. Until before 960gs only offered 12 grids and 16 grids while BlueTrip offered only 24 grids, so I choose it because of the ease of use for websites requiring 24 grids.
Saying Mike's response was useless doesn't make yours any better please respond constructively so others can learn from it.

Mike's response *was* useless, and Intel352 *did* respond constructively. Intel asked a specific question that should not be hard to answer: How does Bluetrip differ from Blueprint, and why would I want to use BT instead of BP?
Clearly, the two systems have something in common, since BT is based in part on BP. But there must also be differences, and there must be a reason why the BT developers felt it important to offer a framework with those differences. Intel is simply asking what ARE those differences, and why do you think they're important? If prospective users can't get an answer to a simple question like "What makes your system different and in what situations would I be better served by it?", why should they even be interested?
Your statement, "if you have to compare one framework to another to decide what to choose you will be changing frameworks very often" is absurd. It makes perfect sense to ask others what tools they use, and why they prefer them. Why does asking for a comparison between products mean you're not going to be satisfied with any of them? More likely the opposite is true: if you make an informed decision, you'll be less likely to switch.
You say, 'maybe you will realize that both are good at different tasks," yet you won't help him (and me) out by saying which framework is better at which task. In the time you took to criticize his response, you could have answered his question.

I created an account just to chime in and say... wow... exactly my thoughts... I was desperately looking for a *simple* - Here is where we differ from BP. There must have been a reason to fork the existing and popular framework. There must have been some moment when you said... ohh - if only BP would do this... and then added it to your version.
Let me know when you post even a tiny scratch about the above... I am very curious. In the meantime I will try and diff the two frameworks to see what you added to it. Also curious what your support lifecycle is... compared to blueprint. As changes bubble up in the other base frameworks.. how do they merge back into your release?
Thanks for any info... I am excited to try it out and hopefully see what the buzz is about this new fork.

We work harder, longer; we increase the stress on our minds and bodies; we spend less time with our families and friends; we become more irascible and less likeable people.

It's nothing but a matter of personal preference really. Check out the demos, try out both frameworks, and go with what feels best to you.
Mike, that was a useless response.
